Privacy Policy

Creature is built on a single promise: what it learns about you never leaves your phone. This policy exists to explain, plainly, why there is almost nothing to disclose.

1. Who we are

Creature (“the app”) is developed and published by NutriOptio LLC (“we,” “us”). You can reach us at info@nutrioptio.com.

2. Our core commitment

The app is designed to run fully on your device. It does not create user accounts, does not connect to any server we operate, and includes no analytics, advertising, tracking, or third-party software development kits (SDKs) that send data off the device. We have no technical ability to access what the app holds.

3. Information the app uses on your device

With your explicit, per-feature permission, Creature may access the following on your device only. In every case, the information is used locally to power the app’s features and is never transmitted, uploaded, or shared:

• Motion, activity & steps: via Apple’s CoreMotion sensors and the phone’s own pedometer, to sense movement patterns and your step count on-device. Creature does not use Apple Health.
• Location: used only on-device to notice places you tend to return to (Apple’s “visit” detection). Creature does not build a map of you, does not store identifiable addresses, and never transmits location.
• Music: the title and artist of what is currently playing in Apple Music or your library, read on-device to learn your taste. No listening history is uploaded.
• Microphone & speech: if you use the optional spoken (“hands-free”) mode, speech recognition is forced to run on-device only. Audio and transcripts are processed locally and are never sent to any server, including Apple’s. If a device cannot recognize speech locally, the feature simply declines to start.
• What you write or say to it (“whispers”): stored locally so the app can remember and reflect. Never transmitted.
• Notifications: any reminders the app sends are scheduled locally on your device. No push server is involved.

4. On-device intelligence

Creature’s conversational voice uses Apple’s on-device language model, which runs locally on supported hardware. Your messages and its replies are processed on the device and are not sent to us or to any third party. When Apple’s on-device model is unavailable, the app falls back to simple built-in responses, still fully offline.

5. Where your data lives

All of the app’s memory is kept in a single file on your device, which is excluded from iCloud backup and is not synced to any cloud. It exists only on the phone where you use Creature.

6. We do not collect or share data

We do not collect, store, process, or receive any personal data through the app. We do not use cookies, advertising identifiers, or third-party trackers. We do not sell or share information with anyone, because we never have it in the first place.

7. Your control, retention, and deletion

You are in complete control of your data:

• You can view and delete individual items (words, places, facts, diary entries, and more) inside the app’s memory bank at any time.
• You can export your own data, in readable or passphrase-encrypted form. Export is always initiated by you and stays under your control.
• Deleting the app removes all of its data permanently from your device.

Because we never receive your data, there is nothing for us to retain, return, or delete on our end.

8. Not a medical, mental-health, or emergency service

Creature is a personal companion for reflection. It is not a medical device, a therapy or counseling service, or an emergency service, and nothing it says is professional advice. If a message suggests danger, the app may display crisis resources, but it is not a substitute for professional care. If you are in crisis or may be in danger, contact your local emergency services, or in the U.S. call or text 988 (Suicide & Crisis Lifeline).

9. Children

Creature is not directed to children and is intended for users 17 and older. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone, including children, as the app collects no information at all.

10. Changes to this policy

If we update this policy, we will revise the “Last updated” date above and post the new version here. Because the app’s privacy model is structural (no networking, on-device only), we do not anticipate material changes to how your data is handled.
